LunaCyclePrivacy Policy
LunaCycle is a local-first cycle tracking and support app. Personal cycle and health data is designed to remain on the user's device unless the user deliberately uses an export, backup, share, or supported health-platform action.
Data stored on your device
Depending on the features you choose, LunaCycle may store cycle dates, flow information, symptoms, emotions, notes, predictions, reminders, athletic and recovery information, body measurements, profile information, preferences, authentication settings, Care Circle data, LunaLearn preferences, and data imported from a supported health integration after you authorize it.
Local storage and encryption
LunaCycle stores application data in an encrypted local database using SQLCipher. The database key is protected through the device's secure credential storage. Encrypted backup files use authenticated encryption. You are responsible for protecting any backup or export file after it leaves LunaCycle.
Care Circle profiles are logically isolated by profile and ownership scope inside the encrypted local database. LunaCycle does not claim that each profile uses a separate database encryption key.
Data leaving the device
LunaCycle does not operate a cloud account or cloud database for ordinary app data. Personal data may leave the device only when you deliberately use a feature that requires it, such as creating or sharing an export, creating or moving an encrypted backup file, using a supported device health integration after granting permission, or using an operating-system share action.
LunaCycle does not include an external advertising SDK, behavioral tracking SDK, or production analytics/crash-reporting service that transmits personal health data off-device.
Reminders
Reminder definitions and delivery records are local profile data. Local notification content may be visible on the lock screen or notification center according to your operating-system notification settings and the privacy option selected for the reminder.
Care Circle
Care Circle lets an eligible adult primary user support profiles they are authorized to manage. Summary views intentionally expose only limited information and do not include detailed symptom names, sexual activity, emotion details, flow details, reminder records, or saved LunaLearn articles.
Independent adult sharing is not represented as dependent-profile ownership. Any future adult-to-adult sharing feature will require an explicit consent model and a corresponding policy update before release.
Health integrations
Supported health integrations are optional and require operating-system permission. LunaCycle accesses only the health data types you authorize. Imported data is processed and stored locally. Health-platform capabilities vary by platform and release. You can revoke health permissions through the operating system.
Authentication and biometrics
Biometric authentication is optional. Biometric matching is performed by the device operating system; LunaCycle does not receive or store fingerprint or face templates.
Analytics and diagnostics
LunaCycle does not currently include a production analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting service that transmits user activity or health data to an external service. Local, redacted diagnostic events may be used on the device to support safe operation.
Data export, backup, and deletion
You may deliberately create exports or encrypted backups. Exported files are no longer protected by LunaCycle once copied, shared, or stored outside the app's protected storage, except where the export format itself is encrypted.
You can delete profile data through the app where the applicable deletion controls are available. Uninstalling the app removes app-local data according to the operating system's application-storage behavior. Android application backup is disabled for LunaCycle app data.
Children and teen users
LunaCycle includes age-aware content controls and Care Circle support for younger users. Age information is stored locally and used to apply age-appropriate product behavior and content boundaries. A parent or guardian should review LunaCycle before allowing a minor to use it.

LunaCycle is for informational, educational, tracking, and support purposes. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Cycle and fertility-related predictions are estimates and should not be used as a contraceptive method.
Security limitations
No software or device storage system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device with an operating-system passcode and keep the operating system up to date.
Policy changes
If LunaCycle's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the changed behavior is distributed. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy takes effect.
